The yard is family-owned and was established in 1884. The award of the “” warrant in 1984 gave recognition to 100 years of quality and excellence – a highly prized accolade and one that is earned neither rapidly nor easily. This long heritage of Dutch maritime engineering has invested the yard with a culture of perfectionism that applies itself as much to leading-edge technologies as it does to traditional practices. Royal Huisman takes pride in building unique custom yachts, classic or modern, sail or motor, from 30-90m / 100-300ft (link to the portfolio) in Alustar aluminium or carbon composite with a dedicated focus on quality rather than quantity.
