Here’s to a brand-new year … 2026
The Chairman looks ahead to the new year while the team takes a well-deserved extended break for the holidays – returning on Monday 5th January…

As we all get ready to slow down for the holidays, unless you’re working on board and hosting owners and guests somewhere in the sun, I wanted to send a brief end-of-year message of thanks to all our clients, partners, readers and friends across the world. Without you, we can’t do what we do!
I thought about writing a reflective column about 2025 – the highlights, the activities, the deliveries, the distractions or disasters – but decided that it’s all in the past and we should focus more on the future with the lessons learnt and some fresh ideas.
So over the next two weeks, while many of us enjoy the Festive Season and take some time out to reflect and plan for the New Year, I will be exploring, planning, thinking and modelling a variety of new initiatives and innovations without any e.mails, phone calls or Teams meetings.
Things to watch out for in 2026, coming from The Superyacht Group:
• Strategic and creative upgrades to SuperyachtNews.com, so it delivers not only a better user experience but more expert contributions and intelligent content, combined with a brand-new business model.
• Perhaps my favourite project of the year, the delivery of Make Your Mark, our cool and unique marketing experience that will bring together 200 superyacht marketing peers and a core list of strategic experts from outside of our industry.
• With more interesting and relevant research projects that dig into topics and sectors needing deeper analysis and understanding, Superyacht Intelligence will be a major part of 2026.
• Brand new “Experience” projects will appear in our event calendar alongside the second editions of some launched in 2025, like INNORVATION and MASTERPIECE, both ground-breaking experiences that shake the model and wake up the audience. Look out for another new experience project with “Red” as its theme.
• Two major research projects will be launched in Q1: one to better understand how the industry uses data and intelligence so we can upgrade our own proposition and another project to analyse and explore the operating budgets and ownership costs of the superyacht sector.
• A new year often inspires an upgrade and refresh of how companies present themselves to market and we are already in deep discussion with some exciting brands who want to reposition themselves in 2026. Watch this Superyacht Agency space.
• Our flagship, The Superyacht Report, will stay focused on its digital-first strategy as more and more readers are interacting and exploring the unique content we deliver. Our mission is to ensure that everyone and anyone is able to read our library more efficiently and effectively to better understand what’s really happening in the market. Some upgrades are on the horizon to optimise the reader experience.
• And in 2026, we will expand our team in many ways to improve and grow our portfolio; some of them will be Agentic AI leads who will collaborate and support our human team, allowing them to be more focused on the good stuff we do.
I won’t go into much more detail about our plans and opportunities for 2026, but I will say that we will be smarter, stronger and more focused on our mission, “to be the most valuable and respected source of high-quality journalism, analysis, intelligence and strategy in the superyacht market”.
Therefore, I wish my wonderful team a well-deserved extended break for the holidays (back on 5th Jan) and wish everyone in the superyacht market, no matter what you’re doing, where you are or how you spend the next two weeks, an excellent end of 2025 celebration and we look forward to working with you all in 2026.
Happy holidays and here’s to a brand new year,
Martin H. Redmayne
Chairman
