Theme revealed for The Superyacht Forum 2019

The superyacht industry's premier event returns this November…

For the 26th edition of The Superyacht Forum, in association with METSTRADE, we will follow the theme, ‘Building For The Next Generation’. Taking place at the RAI, Amsterdam, from 18th – 20th November 2019, our flagship event will provide three days of interaction with the top influencers in the market.

As generations X, Y and Z continue to dominate the media with an increasing influence on how politicians and businesses choose to create, market and launch their products, we have curated our sessions at The Superyacht Forum with future generations in mind, utilising the insights from Baby Boomers to Millennials.

Surrounded by the buzz of one of the most vibrant cities in the world, the industry’s leading annual gathering of CEO’s, decision-makers, advisors and influencers makes The Superyacht Forum one of the strongest networking opportunities in the industry. It’s not about how many are in the crowd, but who, and we want to make sure you are part of it.

Every year signals a new theme for The Superyacht Forum. In 2018, for example, our theme provided important analysis of the current customer experience and also proposed the best ways of engaging with the customers of tomorrow. This year’s theme aims to provide an understanding of young owners, to build an industry for the next generation and introduce next-generation technology, energy efficiency and innovations from future thinkers.

For 2018, The Superyacht Forum programme was reduced from four days to three (as it was prior to 2017). Having seen the popularity of our three-day event, the 2019 edition will follow suit this November. Our London-based design event (The Superyacht Design Forum), ensures there will be less of a weighting on design focused discussions, however our November event will continue to explore the different aspects of our magazine including Design, as well as Operations, Technology, Owner, Buyer, Fleet and Business.

Over the course of three days, we will address what the next generation of business models will look like, how they will transform, improve and grow the industry: The Superyacht Forum 2019, will kick-off with 'The Business Day' (Monday 18th November), followed by 'The Owner Day' (Tuesday 19th November), and culminating with ‘The Technology Day’ (20th November).

Day one, ‘The Business Day’, will deliver a programme of future thinking keynotes and workshops devoted to the business of superyachts and will culminate in an interactive, challenging and dynamic ‘Power Hour’. Day two, 'The Owner Day', will deliver multi-generational perspectives on business ownership, while outlining how industry leaders and their relatives are planning their succession, and fortifying their businesses for the future. And day three, ‘The Technology Day’, will comprise the symbiosis of leaders in technology at the forefront of their fields and how the developments within these peer industries could realistically be applied to yachts of the future.
