‘Knowledge, reliability and consistency’

Hiscox MGA returns as partner of The Superyacht Forum…

London-based insurance firm and long-standing partner of The Superyacht Forum, Hiscox MGA, will once again join us in Amsterdam this November at the 26th edition of our flagship event.

On day two of The Superyacht Forum, during ‘The Owner Day’, we will be looking closely at the operational profiles of a new breed of adventurous owners, and how the shifting usage of the vessels themselves, as well as the cruising grounds in which they are present, will affect companies within the insurance market, such as Hiscox MGA, who are currently in the midst of profound market change.

Paul Miller, Director of Underwriting at Hiscox MGA said, “From our perspective, The Superyacht Forum is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our business’ core values of knowledge, reliability and consistency throughout every economic climate.

“From our perspective, The Superyacht Forum is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our business’ core values of knowledge, reliability and consistency throughout every economic climate." Paul Miller, Director of Underwriting at Hiscox MGA

“One of the key reasons that we sponsor The Superyacht Forum is that we like the educational platform that it provides. We see the Forum as an exchange of knowledge and of information - we attend the event to learn and then we are able to reflect and consider what has impacted us, and how we can incorporate what we have learned into our practices.”

This year’s theme, ‘Building for the Next Generation’, is our pledge to provide delegates with the most progressive, futuristic ideas which are providing impetus for growth, not only in the superyacht market, but ancillary industries.

“Innovation in the superyacht sphere has a direct impact on Hiscox MGA,” commented Miller, “From design elements such as hybrid systems, to the increasing popularity of vessels travelling to the Arctic and the Antarctic, there are various factors for us to consider and keep track of, which are often brought about within the broad range of topics covered at the Forum."

Hiscox MGA is a multi-line underwriting agency with a globally respected marine department that has specialist facilities for insuring superyachts, ocean and grand prix racing yachts, marinas, yacht clubs, yacht yards, storage facilities, yacht construction or conversion risks and extended refits.

Underwriting on behalf of both Lloyd’s and ‘A’ rated European carriers, Hiscox MGA’s products include ‘Yachtsure24’, for yachts over 24m/82ft in length, ‘Marinasure’, for marinas and Marine Trade businesses, and ‘Construction, refit and conversion’, for yacht construction, major refit and conversion projects.
