SuperyachtNews.com - The Superyacht Forum - Programme

The Programme

TSF : Connect

In 2023, TSF: Connect is all about fostering connections, sharing knowledge and cultivating innovation in the superyacht industry. One of the most anticipated features of The Forum for more than 30 years has always been the chance to meet and connect with key industry figures, and this year will offer more opportunities than ever. In line with our theme of TSF: Connect, this year’s event will have fewer keynotes and more focus on dynamic networking.

Workshops

AI Business Impact - Orange Room

Generations can be distinguished by their understanding, or lack thereof, regarding key advancements in technology. AI is the fastest-moving aspect of our industry and, arguably, all industries today. The varied applications we are seeing may seem disconnected, but this workshop will look at the way that each is built on the same generative AI and large language models, and crucially, what this means for the rest of the industry.

Conrad Empson - Founder & Managing Director - CrewPass

Professor Adam Sobey - The Alan Turing Institute

Bill Edwards - Head of Research and Development - Bernard Olesinski Ltd

Blue Tape Debate - Blue Room

It’s not all about batteries! The spate of fires we have seen in recent years has seen Li batteries scapegoated for more systemic issues with on-board fire safety practices. This discussion, led by Wards Marine Electric, will look beyond the headlines and address the root of this issue.

Kristina Hebert - President/CEO - Ward's Marine Electric

Andrea Venturelli & Pieter van den Ouden - RINA

Terry Allen - Terry Allen Marine

Mike Wimbridge - Managing Director - Pantaenius UK

Failure is the Greatest Teacher - Red Room

CHIRP Maritime is the first superyacht-specific programme and publication dedicated to improving safety in the maritime industry through vital knowledge sharing, anonymous reporting, analysis and feedback via the Superyacht Maritime Advisory Board. Representing one of the most comprehensive attempts to take safety seriously in the superyacht industry, the progenitors of the programme discuss the need for open knowledge sharing.

Paul Naranjo-Shepherd - Chair - CHIRP Superyacht Maritime Advisory Board

Chris Andreason - Director - Masters Maritime Consultants

Jens Ploch - Commercial Director - Omniaccess

Peter Southgate – Regional Director/Yacht Code Specialist - Cayman Islands Shipping Register

Measuring Impact and Moving the Needle - Yellow Room

It is clear from research published by the YETI project that yachts spend most of their time moored alongside or at anchor. Hotel energy loads combined with associated cleaning products and F&B consumption comprise the greater part of their environmental impact. We will discover how improvements are already happening within the fleet.

Danella Hopkins - Luxury Hospitality - Ex Black Pearl Cheif Stew

Claire Ferandier Sicard - Environmental Training for Yacht Crew (ETYC)

Olivier Blanchet - BNP Paribas

Richie Blake - Managing Director - Döhle Yachts

Intellectual Collaboration - Green Room

Knowledge is the fuel that powers improvement. How are we learning from each other? Learning from your mistakes is common sense, but learning from others is smart. How can we share valuable information but maintain privacy and a competitive edge?

Enrico Della Valentina - MARIN

Mathew Zimmerman - Farsounder

Jon Rysst - DNV
