The Refit Advisory Group – first virtual meeting 2026
Captains, managers, owners’ reps, engineers, family offices and private client advisors are invited to join the first virtual RAG meeting later this month…

26 February, 2026 - 09:00 EST / 14:00 GMT / 15:00 CET
We constantly read that the order book is booming and the next few years will see new deliveries populate the cruising grounds and marinas, but this ongoing annual delivery schedule also has a massive impact on the future refit sector.
Key questions emerge:
• Do we have the capacity and infrastructure?
• Do we have the skills and workforce?
• Do we have the subcontractors and supply chain?
• Do we have the right systems and processes?
• Do we plan and manage these refit projects effectively?
• Do the owners get what they expect or pay for?
A couple of years ago Norina Edelman and the team at International Marine Management launched the Refit Advisory Group (RAG), a not-for profit community of captains, managers, owners reps and engineers who represent the interests of the end customer, the owner. Our last meeting during the Monaco Yacht Show S.A.M. week added more concrete plans, actions and strategy to the RAG. We want to build on this plan and create a global community of those people who want to shape and improve the refit sector, for the owner. The Superyacht Group has joined forces with International Marine Management to support this mission and the objectives that have been set out from the various meetings.
The refit industry needs open dialogue, smart ideas and honest feedback on what we can
all do better, so our customers/owners get what they expect and deserve from this ever-growing refit,
repair and rebuild sector.
On 26 February, at a time convenient for all key time zones, 15:00 CET, we will host the first virtual RAG meeting for all interested parties who meet the key criteria of captain, manager, owner’s rep, engineer, family office and private client advisor. Here we will share with this virtual community the mission, actions and objectives, and discuss the planned focus groups and other initiatives that we feel are key for the future of the refit sector.
If you’d like to join the meeting please follow this link to apply for a seat at the virtual table.
It will be interesting and important for all stakeholders on the customer side and all we need is your attendance and attention. Also, if you want to get more involved with any of the focus or working groups after this meeting, we welcome your input and expertise.
