Help shape the future of superyacht technology

We are calling upon stakeholders to encourage development within superyacht technology…

Like all markets, the superyacht industry must keep striving towards the development of new technologies, and the incorporation of tech from other industries, to keep up with changing expectations among a new generation of owners. Universal connectivity is now considered an essential rather than a luxury, and at SuperyachtNews we have seen AV/IT capabilities becoming a central tenet of onboard life, and a prevalent element of periodic yacht servicing and maintenance cycles.

Videoworks is a company frequently mentioned on SuperyachtNews as one of the leading AV/IT integrators, with recent high profile projects including M/Y Spectre and CRN’s M/Y 135. According to Videoworks, “the excellence of the audio systems that, on the one hand, deliver pure, high-quality sound reproduction and, on the other, are suitable for an on-board party, have become a crucial aspect of the integration of on-board systems.”

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 the company presented some of its latest technologies including ‘SAM’ (Slim Audio Master) which has been designed to control up to 16 audio outputs and allows for calibration of sound in every individual setting while also being compact and space-saving.

Whilst already among the market leaders in the hegemonic Italian new build market, Videoworks is now looking to further its reach in the new-build and refit market in Northern Europe. And as part of this strategy, and with the help of The Superyacht Agency, the company is hoping to better understand  AV/IT lifecycles, upgrade patterns and market trends within the 30-80m+ superyacht segment.

This type of insight is extremely useful in aiding companies like Videoworks in forming their future development strategy, but it also helps to futureproof the industry as a whole, by driving up the standard of quality among integrators.

The Superyacht Agency would really appreciate it if you could participate in its survey, the link to which can be found here, and help provide essential intelligence that can help shape the future of technology on board superyachts. All who complete the survey in full will be rewarded with a 6-month VIP subscription to The Superyacht Report.
