Sir Franz Pagot to open The Superyacht Marketing Forum

The renowned cinematographer will kick us off with ‘The Art of Creative Thinking’…

We are delighted to reveal that renowned cinematographer, Sir Franz Pagot OMRI AIC, will open The Superyacht Marketing Forum next Tuesday 3rd December at The Curtain, London.

Harking back to The Superyacht Design Forum in June, which followed the theme ‘An External Perspective’, Sir Franz will share personal insights from his career within film, but with a message applicable to all marketing campaigns for the superyacht industry moving forward…

Our opening keynote session, ‘The Art of Creative Thinking’, welcomes Sir Franz to the stage, to explore the concept of creativity from his valuable perspective as a cinematographer and photographer. Most importantly, Sir Franz wishes to share with delegates the impact of good, creative ideas, and how to put them into practice.

Sir Franz was born near Venice, moving to London in the 1980s where he assisted the famed Steadicam operator John Ward on Full Metal Jacket, Robin Hood and Sleepy Hollow, establishing himself as a respected cinematographer, as well as shooting more than 500 commercials. With an artistic CV worthy of a knighthood, which he received in 2018, Sir Franz will inspire delegates with the ways in which marketing campaigns can each take a novel approach, avoiding copycat structures.

When looking at the language and imagery used within many marketing campaigns in the luxury industry, there is often overuse of the same phrases such as, ‘the Rolls-Royce of [insert product here]’. While this works for some companies, the same superlative rhetoric cannot be applied to all, and the interactive nature of Sir Franz’s keynote will allow delegates to debate why.

The more intimate nature of this forum will not only allow for delegates to pose questions, but also engage in direct debate with the speakers...

Next week, The Superyacht Marketing Forum welcomes a vast range of speakers from fields external to our own that are excelling in areas where the superyacht industry is still reluctant to get on board with. Agree or disagree, the more intimate nature of this forum will not only allow for delegates to pose questions, but also engage in direct debate with the speakers, with the overarching goal of changing the way things are done in order to reach out to the next generation of clients.

Remaining tickets to The Superyacht Marketing Forum (3rd - 4th December) are available here.
