A dynamic duo returns this November

The Superyacht Group resurrects its longstanding partnership with METSTRADE once again…

The Superyacht Forum in association with METSTRADE, takes place this November at the RAI in Amsterdam from 18th – 20th November, within the window of METSTRADE (19th – 21st November). This may be one of the superyacht industry’s most longstanding event partnerships, but this year both organisations are looking to the future, with agendas that will truly build for the next generation.

Our theme for this year’s forum is wholly focused on the next generation of individuals, innovations and processes that will lay the foundations for our industry’s future prosperity. Within our programme, consisting of a dynamic array of workshops, keynotes and networking sessions, we will look at who will be the next generation of buyers, who will manage and drive our businesses in the future, and the practicalities to consider regarding the progression of our industry. So, having spent three days building the blocks for the future at The Superyacht Forum, delegates are invited to spend Thursday 21st November at METSTRADE, perusing the world’s largest international B2B trade exhibition for the marine leisure industry, and applying the rhetoric from TSF to the superyacht supply chain, who will be exhibiting in abundance.

The METSTRADE Young Professionals Club (YPC) provides a space within METSTRADE entirely dedicated to those who will be at the forefront of our industry in years to come. YPC extends an on- and offline environment to enable young professionals within the industry with the valuable opportunity to network with peers. Throughout the event, a dedicated members-only lounge at the METSTRADE showfloor will provide the perfect face-to-face environment to obtain inspiration from leading industry practitioners.

METSTRADE famously caters for three specialist sectors; Superyachts, Marinas and Yards, and Composites, through three specialised pavilions within the wider show (Superyacht Pavilion, Marina and Yard Pavilion, Construction Material Pavilion), showcasing the latest innovations in on-board systems, infrastructure and construction techniques, respectively. The power of three is mirrored at this year’s edition of The Superyacht Forum, as we have (for the first time ever) defined each day of the event by a specific theme (Business, Owner and Technology), to provide delegates with a programme that caters to and considers every sector of the superyacht industry.

Every year, METSTRADE ensures that adequate measures are taken to reduce the ecological footprint of the event. This year, alongside 7,000 LED spotlights that have replaced former energy inefficient light sources, 22 miles of carpet tiles made from recyclable materials will cover the event area for the first time.

At The Superyacht Forum, we continue to place a focus on sustainability and the future-proofing of our industry, with dedicated sustainability-driven sessions, and practical efforts such as the eradication of printed programmes for the 2019 edition of the event. Keep an eye on SuperyachtNews, where we will shortly be announcing all of our eco-initiatives for this year’s event.
