CeraShield launches pH-neutral cleaning products
The products are designed to be less aggressive for superyacht paint and surfaces…
CeraShield has recently launched its own brand of pH-neutral products for superyacht crew to use for day-to-day maintenance without damaging the yacht’s surfaces. The suite of products includes a washdown boat soap, de-greaser, ceramic topper for paintwork and a detailer for paintwork, glass and stainless steel, the surfactants of which comply with the biodegradability criteria of the European Detergent Regulation No 648/2004.
“Having worked with many yachts on prolonging the life of the on-board surfaces, we were still seeing the mentality of using highly acidic and alkaline products, such as vinegar, for maintenance,” explains CeraShield co-founder Claire Steel. “These products are too aggressive and can damage superyacht coatings.”
CeraShield originally launched the products as an after-care package for its clients to help maintain the effect of the ceramic coatings. However, the products are compatible with all surfaces and are now on the market as a less aggressive and more environmentally-friendly alternative.
