Fossati Design Bureau

Umberto Fossati and his skilled team at the Fossati Design Bureau are involved in several different interior projects, including the 40m explorer (CBN 45) concept, under construction in Viareggio, that will have a CBI Navi brand (GP Yachts Group). The project, including the layout, has been developed directly for the owner, who has requested an “elegant family motoryacht”.

A range of different materials (such as walnut and wenge wood, custom brown leather, brush bronze and black inlays) beautifully match each other and convey a timeless design, creating a comfortable but formal feel as indicated by the hand-sketched main saloon shown below. The upper lounge becomes a confidential family area playing with colours and striped fabrics based on the same design as the six bedrooms that are characterised by different fabrics and leathers. Sailing around the world is one of the client’s passions which FdB developed into two pieces of art that will complete the interior project. Two unique elements hand-crafted by Peter Bellerby & Co. – a sailing wallchart in the main saloon and a globe in the upper lounge, customised according to FdB’s request – give a traditional touch to an elegant and contemporary design.
