The BSI Marine Equipment Group has laid the foundations for the future through the commitment to invest 5.6 million euros in their facilities and machinery.

The investment will be allocated across the Group that includes BSI, GORI Propeller, Hundested Propeller, Jefa Steering, Moonlight, Ocean Marine Systems (OMS) and OYS to meet the growing demands from the worldwide sailing industry.

“The board of the BSI Marine Equipment Group made the decision in Q4 of 2023 to invest in both the facilities and the machinery at our four locations,” comments Morten Madsen CEO of the BSI Marine Equipment Group. “The new robotic machinery is already in place at GORI Propeller and the new facility in the grounds of the current site in Haderslev, Denmark is ready for fit out. It’s an exciting time for the company and we look forward to the next stages of the strategy progressing at Hundested Propeller, Jefa Steering and OMS in the coming months. The official opening of the new building here in Haderslev is planned for the end of Q3 2024.”

Madsen goes onto explain the reasoning behind the investment and how the companies within the BSI Marine Equipment Group are OEM suppliers to a number of sailing yacht yards around the world, as well as supplying products through distribution channels and service agents. This investment will look to achieve several key goals.

  • Provide the additional space required for superyacht rigging, particularly standing rod rigging.
  • Shorter lead times for customers due to an increase in capacity.
  •  Even greater precision through robotic and milling machinery.
