Following a successful debut in May at the world’s largest interiors and furniture production show, Interzum, Fastmount releases two new products to address trends and requirements in interior design and fitout: the PC-SM1AC for acoustic panels and the VL-03FR set for fire rated panels.

Fastmount is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative panel mounting systems designed for the seamless installation of interior panels in the marine, architectural, aviation and recreational vehicle industries.

The PC-SM1AC is Fastmount’s first clip specifically designed for use with acoustic panels, conceptualized with the help of acoustic panel manufacturers, Autex, in New Zealand. With a flexible composition, the clip has just a 2kg pull out load, making it ideal for the very lightweight nature of many acoustic panels.

Compatible with any of the female clips in the Fastmount Standard Range, the use of the PC-SM1AC ensures that neither that panel nor frame are damaged upon removal, which facilitates and reduces turnaround time for seasonal or half-life fitouts. It easily attaches to most acoustic fabrics using hot glue or single pot sealant, and mounts into all female clips in the Standard Range for versatile application.

“The feedback from Interzum on the PC-SM1AC was so positive, that we have both new and existing customers waiting for stock already. It bodes well for the success of the clip that customers are already saying that they have been looking for something like this for a long time,” comments Gregg Kelly, Managing Director of Fastmount.

Accompanying the PC-SM1AC in Fastmount’s second product release of the year are the VL-F3FR and the VL-M3FR – the fire rated addition to the popular Very Low Profile Range. As the size of high-scale commercial buildings increase, so do the number of regulations for building materials. With the VL’s original ability to be installed without special tools, the VL-03FR set not only ensures rapid installation into low substrate and panel depth, but also a UL V-0 fire rating. This allows seamless integration into fitouts requiring fire rating throughout the building or boat.

The two clips used together create a 10kg pull out load, which makes them perfect for use on both wall and ceiling panels, as well as egress or access areas.

The new products will be available from Fastmount’s network of 24 distributors worldwide. Fastmount’s catalogue contains over 30 panel mounting products and, as shown by the latest release, is constantly updated and added to in order to reflect the latest industry demands.
