ISS annually recognize the best in the industry with their design and leadership awards.  The Excellence in Innovation award is given to an individual or business that has demonstrated innovation in their endeavors.

This year’s recipient, Triton Submarines, is changing the way people experience and understand marine environments.  Taking the view, “There is no substitute for direct observation”, Triton provides passengers with a unique immersive experience, by placing passengers in a clear acrylic sphere with the same optical qualities as seawater.
Underwater the acrylic seems to disappear, giving passengers a sense they are part of the environment. Many describe the experience as transformative.

Triton submersibles are the most capable submersibles on the market, diving deeper than their competitors.  Triton submersibles have a perfect safety record; a testament to their design and also maintenance and training provided to submersible operators. Since all power provided is electric, Triton vessels do not in any way pollute or harm the environment, while making those who travel in one fully aware of the fragility of the marine world and the necessity to help save it.
