In just one year the YACHTNEEDS app has stormed the superyacht industry and given captains and crew the access they wanted to the superyacht industries best local suppliers and services.
This mobile app has been an unprecedented success story. Starting with YACHTNEEDS, a geo-positioned app that tells crew where the nearest, English speaking superyacht supplier is for whatever they need in that moment.
The team then went on to launch YACHTCHAT so that crew could chat live on YACHTNEEDS and find other crew in their local area or further afield. Activating the ‘Day work’ function also allowed Captains to see who was available locally for day work and helped many new crew to get their first experiences on board this Med season.
Now, the former yacht crewmembers, turned mobile app experts are about to launch YACHTNEEDS Jobs, a recruitment section in the YACHTNEEDS app. Again using the geo-positioned technology they will be hosting all the superyacht jobs in one place and simplifying the application process for crew.
With some impressive stats such as 100,000+ user sessions in six months, and over 6500 crew using the app daily, the team are gearing up towards boat show season and will be visiting Cannes Yachting Festival next week.
