Since Orcas Associates launched in 2011 to provide security training and personnel to yachts, last year they expanded their range of services into yacht recruitment. Having become an MCA accredited Recruitment and Placement Agency at the beginning of 2015 to comply with MLC 2006, they can assist with recruitment needs in all departments on-board.
Independently owned and operated by experienced Captains whom are British ex-military, they have worked on some of the worlds most prestigious super yachts, both in security roles and as Officers and Captains. With maritime security becoming an increasing concern, they bring with them a wealth of knowledge from their military and close protection background, and an in-depth knowledge of working with high profile yacht clients.
Orcas Associates is a UK based company with their head office in Colchester. With easy access to London, they also run their security training courses from both there and on-board yachts when specific courses are required for all the crew.
Lisa Keenan is heading up and developing Orcas Recruitment. Based in Palma, she brings with her six years of experience in yacht recruitment, having previously worked for Dovaston Crew. And recently joining the team in Palma is Madeleine Dyos, also ex-Dovaston Crew of almost five years, and three years spent in HR for a public company in the UK. They are both available to meet Captains and crew in person in the Palma area, as well as being available 24/7 to handle any crew searches.
With competitive placement fees for all terms of employment, more information can be found on their website www.orcasassociates.com or by calling +44 20 7060 6689.
