The Superyacht Owner May issue is out

The seventh issue of The Superyacht Owner, and the cover story, features owner Guido Krass, who speaks about building his own superyacht and setting up his own shipyard, Hanseatic Marine, in Australia. The boutique shipyard has produced an all-aluminium superyacht line that has gone on to become an icon of design as well as a yard that is clearly in demand. As well as three yachts Krass has owned and sold on, including the 77m Smerelda now owned by the Royal Family of Dubai, he has two yachts up to 100m in size commissioned plus the 77m yacht Silver Fast in build.



The Superyacht Owner was thrilled to have the pleasure of interrupting owners mid way on their adventures around the globe to share their stories with our readership. Most owners would say a circumnavigation was enough to contend with, but Gerhard Ruether, has added the challenge of a ferociously competitive superyacht race to the mix. We caught up with Ruether midway through a "stop start" circumnavigation on board sailing yacht, Zefiro on the eve of the New Zealand Millenium Cup, which she promptly went on to win. Owner, Frans Heesen also speaks from on board M/Y Lady Petra after announcing his official retirement last year, while owner Chris Lenz takes us on a journey through Thailand aboard S/Y Silver Lining.
