The Superyacht Owner’s Summit will look closely at the process of luxury asset acquisition, as well as the successful management of UHNW clients and their portfolios. Three mornings, from 4 - 6 May, will be instructional seminars for the audience of market advisors - including family officers, wealth managers, superyacht owners and brokers.
The first day will see charter expert Janus Kamradt, NetJets alongside Bob Atkinson, B Capital, providing financial expertise. Business development manager and aviation consultant Nic Imrie from the online charting platform Stratajet will be onstage, giving attendees insight into the future of the aviation charter model. Aviations sales expert Kasyan Bartlett, Affinity Aviation will dissect this area of the market with Jonathan Russell, Hill Dickinson offering input from a legal perspective.
By examining the aviation world, day one will not only provide an insight into this market - one with which the superyacht industry has many parallels - but also an instructional seminar for those in the audience looking to learn more about the private aviation world
What investment opportunities are there in the world of marina berths? Do superyacht owners know the benefits and pitfalls of the various ownership models in this area of the market? Paul Cook, OneOcean Port Vell; Tony Allen, Hill Dickinson; Aeneas Hollins, Christophe Harbour; Splinter Fangman, YachtZoo and Robert Inwards, Inwards Marine form the panel of experts on the second day of the summit.
With many superyacht owners now adding marina berths to their portfolio, this area of the market is seeing rapid expansion - particularly in order to accommodate larger superyachts. Porto Montenegro recently completed the largest superyacht berth of 250m, with OneOcean Port Vell home to the second largest at 190m.
The summit will conclude with the third day focused within the realm of superyachts. Market experts Vassilis Fotilas, Fraser Yachts; Bob Atkinson, B Capital; Tony Allen, Hill Dickinson and Jamie Edmiston, Edmiston & Co form the panel on the final day. Identifying industry best practices, the panel will consider what decisions need to be made when purchasing, managing and owning a superyacht.
