The eve of the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 will bear witness to the 6th annual edition of the Superyacht Awards Ceremony, which will honour four luxury superyachts making their world debut in Monaco this year.

The ceremony, hosted during the MYS Inaugural Gala Event, will take place on 24 September at the Yacht Club de Monaco. The invitation-only event expects to be attended by 350 VIP guests from the yachting social elite, comprising owners, business leaders and CEOs, as well as partners from the luxury industry.

The jury of the MYS Superyacht Awards Ceremony comprises a panel of experienced journalists from the yachting media, including The Superyacht Group’s very own Editorial and Intelligence Director, William Mathieson, who promise to bring their expertise to bear on the worthiest of winners among the 125 vessels on display at the show.

The awards will fall into four categories:

- The MYS/RINA Award rewards: the eco-friendliest superyacht, whose construction complies with a series of performance specifications, as defined by the Italian classification society RINA.

- The MYS Interior Design Award is given to the superyacht, whose design and bespoke work made on the interior areas enhance an exceptional quality of comfort, features and aesthetics.

- The MYS Exterior Design Award honours the superyacht whose exterior design is the most innovative and refined.

- The MYS Finest New Superyacht Award is given to the superyacht that meets the best marries all of the aforementioned attributes.
