Monaco Yacht Summit 2019
We offer a glimpse into the topics that will be discussed at this year’s edition of the Monaco Yacht Summit…
Since 2016, the Monaco Yacht Show has invited potential buyers and charterers of yachts, or their representatives and advisors, to attend the Monaco Yacht Summit on the eve of the show.
As such, the event will be held on 24 September at the Yacht Club de Monaco. This year, the panel of experts will discuss the following four topics:
1. Superyacht insights
The first panel will consist of a discussion of trends and insights between some well-known CEOs of superyacht brokerage houses, giving their perspectives on industry trends and aspects of chartering, buying, building and operating a superyacht.
2. Charter
Often the entry point for clients to experience superyachts - charter brokers, charter managers and yacht managers will discuss the essential ingredients that combine to deliver a successful charter.
3. New Build
The panellists, which will include shipyards, naval architects, project managers and legal experts will look at the practical steps involved in commissioning and building a new construction project, from a client perspective, providing their guidance to delegates on undertaking a new construction project.
4. Design to delivery
The final panel discussion of the Monaco Yacht Summit plans to put theory into practice. Project team members, including designers and shipyards, will take an in-depth look into a recent yacht case study, highlighting the creative process from initial concept design through the build and to delivery.
