SuperyachtJobs.com winners announced
SuperyachtJobs.com has announced the two winners of the training competition. Each winner has won £3,000 of training vouchers to use at Warsash Superyacht Academy and Maritime Professional Training (MPT) respectively.…
Over 1,200 crewmembers entered the draw, and two were chosen.
The winner of the £3,000 Warsash Superyacht Academy training voucher is Kirsty Pringle, currently working as a stewardess on board M/Y Pink Gin. When we contacted her she told us, “I think I am going to use the finds to do the Efficient Deck Hand course and some other exterior certificates. I am keen to leave the interior and my next position be above deck!”
One of the questions we asked as part of the competition was: If you could work on any yacht, which one would you work on and why? Pringle’s choice was iconic motoryacht A. In her words, “because it is so unique in design and has unsurpassed safety features.”
The winner of the £3,000 Maritime Professional Training (MPT) training voucher was deckhand Elizabeth Stone. Her answer to our competition question was Lürssen’s 72.4m Coral Island. “Coral Island stands out to me as a really good boat to work on. From what I see and hear, her crew are fit and healthy sport fanatics and all work out together when possible, which I feel are good work ethics, to keep fit and focused, as well as good team building. Fit and motivated crew produce much better work. Whenever I see the crew out and about they're always happy and have a really good bond.”
To enter the competition, crewmembers were asked to update their CV, so SuperyachtJobs.com can provide a more efficient and target service to jobseekers and employers alike. If you haven’t updated your CV and candidate profile recently, please do so by clicking here. And remember to add your contact details – otherwise prospective employers won’t be able to contact you.
SuperyachtJobs.com and The Crew Report, with Warsash Superyacht Academy and Maritime Professional Training (MPT) are very please to offer these training vouchers to the above crewmembers, and we would like to thank the two training providers for their generosity.
