ChartCo presents 'OneOcean EnviroManager’ solution

Its latest application keeps captains and crew informed of changing jurisdictions…

At Monaco Yacht Show 2019, ChartCo will be showcasing the advantages of its flagship ‘EnviroManager’ solution to inform captains and chief officers about the discharge of bilge, sewage, grey and black water, garbage, food waste and air emissions.

Used for cleaning, cooling and machinery on board superyachts as well as providing the fundamentals for life on board for crew and guests, water is an important resource for superyachts. However, its use creates various streams of wastewater, and captains can easily get confused as to where this can be discharged due to changing regulations in different jurisdictions.

“Discharge of wastes is prohibited within 3 nautical miles from the territorial water baseline,” says ChartCo’s Head of Superyachts, Chris Warde. “However, there is an ever-growing problem of knowing where these baselines are applied from and it brings a lot of confusion for captains to confidently know where waste streams can be discharged. The OneOcean EnviroManager application provides accurate information about baselines for captains as well as the latest regulatory and compliance updates in one place.”

This application is reportedly on over 1300 vessels and forms a part of ChartCo OneOcean, the integrated platform designed to help with compliance and navigation challenges. OneOcean aims to enable crews to stay abreast of regional, national and international environmental regulations, all in one place.

ChartCo is currently attending the Monaco Yacht Show on stand DS40. Keep up to date with all the latest news here.
