Williams Jet Tenders unveils new model

Williams Jet Tenders unveils a new Sportjet model, just a few months after two new tenders were launched in 2017…

What is it that makes the perfect tender? Perhaps it is speed, looks, or simply keeping those on board dry. For Williams Jet Tenders, it appears that the company continue to find the right proposition for its client base, as they have just added a new model to the Sportjet range, only a few months after two previous models were unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017.

Measuring 4.35 metres and seating up to seven individuals, the new Sportjet 435 has been described as ‘the ideal tender solution,’ by Williams Jet Tenders, offering an array of attributes, such as fittings for towing a wakeboard and a customisable arrangement.

There are a number of benefits that accompany a RIB over a solid boat or tender, as Williams Jet Tenders sales director Matthew Hornsby explains. “A RIB has a high degree of impact protection when coming alongside the parent yacht. It also has the potential of a lighter weight boat by virtue of having inflatable tubes, often the dry weight of a tender is critical due to lifting capacities on board a yacht. Furthermore, in tighter garage spaces the ability exists to reduce the overall dimensions of the tender by deflating the tubes.”

There will be two engine options available with the new Sportjet 435, either a 90hp version, which will use a Rotax Ace 903 engine package capable of reaching a top speed of 41mph, or 150hp, which will feature the Rotax ACE 1503 engine, with a top speed of 52mph. The company prides itself on functionality, and strives to achieve the key elements of successful tender design, which Hornsby highlights as “The ability to keep passengers dry and comfortable even in more challenging conditions, a style, fit and finish which matches the parent yacht and compact dimensions especially overall height.”

“We are very excited to reveal details of the Sportjet 435 - the sixth model in the Sportjet range,” says Hornsby. “The 435 was created to extend our existing range of smaller Sportjet models, offering more space with seating for up to seven passengers, without compromising style or speed.” With this in mind, the new tender can also be fully customised to match the parent yacht.
