Speakers are not usually the most attractive of products and there are not that many on the market that are as stylish and sexy as the Nautilus by Bowers & Wilkins and the FH001 by Ferguson Hill, both featured in SuperyachtDesign Q4. However, the Trio Classico by Avantgarde Acoustic, is a speaker system that stands out.

The floor-standing speaker system is a 3–way spherical horn satellite made up of G2 series speakers, which have been fixed to a single frame, . “The features of the G2 series speakers have been on the wish-list of Avantgarde Acoustic's designers for quite some time”, says Avantgarde Acoustic. “Starting with an improved frame structure, which could give more stability on one hand and more convenience in adjusting the positioning on the other hand.”

The horn speakers are constructed from ABS using injection molding technology and are offered in variety of colours including black, red, orange, blue, light blue, green, cream, white, silver, bronze and grey. “The merits of this high-quality polymer are its neutral resonance behaviour as well as its extreme durability and resistance to wear and tear”, says the speaker manufacturer. “Apart from the excellent quality of the finish of our horns, they are easier to maintain than sensitive varnished surfaces.”

The frame is made from die cast aluminium and features four proprietary spikes with top-operated precision adjustment handles to minimise sound loss through the floor.
