The Superyacht Design Forum: it’s here

Day one of TSDF is finally here, here's what to look forward to at the event…

After months of planning and deliberation, The Superyacht Design Forum has arrived. With an incredible array of speakers and workshops in store for the next couple of days, we are excited to bring you more coverage as the event unfolds. Located among the famous domes of Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, this inaugural design event is calling the industry to take action and lay the foundations for the future of the market.

With 30 workshops spread over the showrooms of Design Centre, we will discover, discuss and debate an array of subjects, including the controversies surrounding the procurement of Burmese teak with Adam Grant of NEPCon, a panel discussion between top shipyards and designers debating what needs to change and the realities of this essential working relationship and a fireside chat with world renowned designer Philippe Briand, who will look back over his memorable career in design and discuss the future of the sailing yacht market.

During the course of the two days, there are five key themes: business; technology; creativity; sustainability; and style & interior. There will be five sessions held simultaneously in the unique settings of the various showrooms.

This evening will also see the official launch event of Superyacht25, the highly anticipated book that celebrates some of the most prominent icons, innovations and images from the last 25 years of superyachting. Taking place in the North Dome, we will raise a glass to what has been an incredible project leading into The Superyacht Design Forum party, hosted by Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour.
