The return of the Superyacht Golden Ticket

In 2011, The Crew Report launched its Superyacht Golden Ticket – an in-depth survey for crew. The incentive for crew to take the survey:  a treasure chest of goodies worth some 25,000 euros, donated to the yacht of the winning crewmember. This year it's back, and we want you to get involved...…

Do you remember when M/Y Glaze won a treasure chest of goodies worth over 25,000 euros with our Superyacht Golden Ticket survey? It's back...

A few years ago, The Crew Report conducted a very in-depth survey on all things crew related. With its Wonka-esque title, we incentivised the market to participate with a treasure chest of great goodies which had a combined value of some 25,000 euros. So in conjunction with our team at Superyacht Intelligence we are working hard on the 2015 Superyacht Golden Ticket survey and research programme, to explore and uncover as much valuable and relevant economic and behavioural data as possible about the ever-changing world of superyacht crew.

The project is in its first phase of development and this is really a pre-emptive strike to alert the market to its progress. The Crew Report team will be spreading the word at the Monaco Yacht Show (by which time a dedicated Superyacht Golden Ticket website will be live - keep an eye out for our flyers that will include all the information you'll need), ahead of the survey's launch at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Look out for these flyers at the Monaco Yacht Show - they'll include all the information about the website that will be launched at the show

As in the past, the incentive that we are offering to crew for their input and insight via taking the survey is a Superyacht Golden Ticket treasure chest – a huge collection of goodies and products that will be enormously valuable to any yacht as it begins the 2015 season. Last time, the treasure chest included cases of champagne, a Lambretta scooter, weekends away, spa vouchers, wet weather gear, deck shoes, Tiffany vouchers, waterproof kit bags, flight vouchers and much more. In 2011 the chest was worth over 25,000 euros but this year we are confident that we can create a chest worth much more (if your company is interested in donating to the treasure chest, please click here) and one that will be something any yacht would want to win. The Superyacht Golden Ticket treasure chest will be donated in one container to one winning yacht as a kick-start to the 2015 season – so the more crew from your yacht that take the survey, the more chance of you and your yacht winning that treasure chest. (And if you're not on a yacht already, you can still take the survey! If you're the winner, let us know when you a join a yacht, and we'll send the treasure chest to that yacht.)

The reason for engaging crew of all levels with the
Superyacht Golden Ticket is, very simply, to find out more about the industry and where we are heading. We have uncovered some very interesting data in the past few years about operational budgets, spend, cruising habits, yard activity, time in port and owner/guest time spent on board. In addition, these surveys can generate insight and behavioural trend information on crew careers, personal plans, financial management and other patterns that can provide valuable insight for suppliers, providers, training companies, recruitment agents and employers (captains and owners).

We are still looking for companies to get involved and donate to the Superyacht Golden Ticket treasure chest, and during the Monaco Yacht Show The Superyacht Group team will be on hand to give interest parties any information they require. To find out how to donate, and the multiple benefits for your business of doing so, download our donators' pack here or contact Andy Howell at andy@thesuperyachtgroup.com.
