Superyacht Launches in November 2012

November was a quiet month for launches. 60m J’Ade from CRN was the biggest yacht to enter the water. Other fleet news included a decision on the fire damaged Star Fish.

Bronko I  - Following the launch of the Vulcan 46 in June this year, Vicem Yachts has now launched the first Vulcan 32 hull, named Bronko I. Read more here.



J’Ade - CRN has launched the 60m superyacht J'Ade from its Ancona shipyard. The vessel precedes seven further superyacht projects currently underway at CRN. Read more here.



Windfall – Southern Wind Shipyards launched 29m Windfall. The yacht, designed by Reichel Pugh and Nauta Design, was launched on 11 November ahead of her maiden voyage in January 2013. Read more here.



Fleet News

Progress Reports

Project Global - Luerssen has launched the 90m superyacht, Project Global, from its Rendsburg facility. The vessel is the fifth Lürssen launch over 85m of 2012 and the build is being managed by US specialist Moran Yacht & Ship. Read more here.

Sarp 46 - Antalya-based shipyard Sarp Yacht Co. has reported good progress on the construction of its flagship superyacht, a 46m full displacement vessel, due for delivery in July 2014. Read more here.

Star Fish - Three months after the midnight fire at McMullen & Wing’s Auckland New Zealand shipyard that damaged the 50m steel/aluminium motor yacht Star Fish, the future of the project is now known. Assets of the luxury expedition motor yacht  are now available for sale for completion. Read more here.

New Orders

Three orders for Christensen - In late October Christensen Shipyards signed two new construction contracts for the first of its 50m Custom Series, as well as closing new customers for an existing 48.8m project. Read more here.

Two orders for Bilgin - Turkish shipyard, Bilgin has confirmed that it has signed contracts for the construction of two new superyachts. They are a Bilgin 147 and Alfulk, a Bilgin 164. Read more here.

Deliveries

Lady Cecilia - Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has delivered its first SD122 model, Lady Cecilia, to her owner in Hong Kong via a cargo ship. Read more here.

Quattroelle - Lürssen's 85m Quattroelle, launched in August 2012, has successfully completed sea trials. She was delivered to her owner in November 2012. Read more here.

Refits

Be Mine – A highly successful opening 12 months for Royal Huisman's dedicated refit service, Huisfit, has been capped by the completion of 40m Lürssen build, Be Mine. Read more here.

Eclipse  - The world's largest superyacht, Eclipse left Fincantieri's Trieste San Marco facility following four weeks of maintenance work on its dry dock. Read more here.

Lady K II - Lady K II, originally launched in 1961 as Lady K arrived at Solent Refit for an extensive refit. The 57.55m vessel's journey to this point has not been without incident. Read more here.

Merrymaid and Escape - Thailand-based Yacht Solutions announced the arrival of classic sailing yacht Merrymaid and motoryacht Escape, both 30m yachts, for refit. Read more here.

Mi Sueno - The 57.5m Trinity-built superyacht, Mi Sueno has become the first vessel to utilise Rybovich's newly acquired floating dry dock. The vessel is at the refit yard for routine maintenance work. Read more here.
