After a multitude of launches in the busy months of the second quarter of the year, July proved a quieter month for fleet activity. Launches that took place included the 34m 'Only Now' from Tansu Yachts and the first in the Bilgin Classic 160 series...…

After a multitude of launches in the busy months of the second quarter of the year, July proved a quieter month for fleet activity. Launches that took place included the 34m Only Now from Tansu Yachts and the first in the Bilgin Classic 160 series. As we look towards the Monaco Yacht Show next month many yards with recent deliveries are now undertaking sea trials and completion work on their new yachts debuting at the show.

Launches

Achilles - Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has launched the fourth superyacht in its 46 Steel line, Achilles. To reach the waters that would see her launch, Achilles had to be transported at night through the city of Massa-Carrara. The 46m motoryacht is powered by two Caterpillar engines, which allow her to cruise at 15 knots and reach a maximum speed of 17 knots. Read more here.



Bilgin Classic 160 - Turkish shipyard Bilgin Yachts has launched the first in its Bilgin Classic 160 series. The 49m motoryacht has been built "to capture the look as well as the feel of a golden era in luxurious yachting," according to the shipyard, and will make her public debut at the Cannes Boat Show later this year. Egeria
- Turkish shipyard Egeria has launched its first superyacht, the 58m displacement motoryacht Egeria. The Alfa Marine Design Engineering-designed motoryacht will see its public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show later this year. Read more here.



Far Away
- Italian shipyard Canados launched its Canados 120, a 36m planing motoryacht christened Far Away. The launch ceremony was celebrated by a Russian Orthodox priest, as by request of the yacht's Russian owner who will soon be sailing the yacht through the Mediterranean. Read more here.



Nassima - Dutch shipyard Acico Yachts has launched its 49m superyacht Nassima, in its Enkhuizen facility on Friday. The full aluminium long-range motoryacht boasts Olivier F. Van Meer naval architecture and exterior design, whilst her interior has been designed by VDP Studio Gmbh (Maka Von Dewitz) and built by List of Austria. Read more here.



Only Now - Istanbul-based shipyard and design studio Tansu Yacht Design has launched its 34m motoryacht Only Now. Diana Yacht Design undertook the naval architecture for the superyacht which is currently undergoing sea trials before delivery to her owner. Read more here.

New Orders

Second and possible third Prince Shark - Rossinavi has announced a new contract for a second 49m motoryacht, to be named Prince Shark with the hull number FR028. The new project, which is expected in May 2014, is largely based on the FR027 but boasts new exterior and interior features. Read more here. Progress Reports

Columbus Sport 130' Hybrid hull - Palumbo has released the first pictures of the newly completed hull of the Columbus Sport 130' Hybrid. The 40m vessel is due for completion in September 2013. Read more here.

Prelaunch of Stella Maris - Viareggio Superyachts pre-launched its 72m motoryacht Stella Maris at the yard's Viareggio facility ahead of her launch at the end of July. Read more here.

Deliveries

Enterprise - Italian shipyard Perini Navi has now delivered its 50m sailing yacht, hull C.2173. Enterprise, launched in April of this year, is the second vessel in the shipyard’s 50m aluminium-hulled series. Read more here.

My Secret and Galactica Plus - Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has delivered two motoryachts. The 47m My Secret has an Omega Architects exterior and Bannenberg & Rowell interior, whilst the 35m Galactica Plus has an exterior and interior by Omega Architects. Read more here. 

Refits

A2 - Feadship's 42m superyacht Masquerade of Sole leaves Pendennis as 47m A2 after major refit.  Read more here.

Hokulani - Six-month refit on 46m superyacht Hokulani completed in Palma. Read more here.

White Rabbit Echo - The refit of 61.4m White Rabbit Echo, being undertaken by Integrated Marine Group in New Zealand, has hit the half way mark. Read more here.
