This is a summary of all brokerage activity for the week dating 10 – 16 January 2012. The disappointing levels activity of last week continued, with no yacht sales at all, compared to last week’s one. There were four new central agency announcements, and a total of thirteen price reductions alongside one price increase.

Yacht Sales

This week no yacht sales were announced.

New Central Agencies

Four new central agencies were announced this week, by four respective brokerage houses.

Fraser Yachts and Bernard Gallay have announced they are joint central agents for the sale of the 33.24m sailing yacht Aventura - the only sailing yacht involved in brokerage activity this week - a 2005 build asking €4.995 million, while YPI confirmed that it is now the exclusive central agent for the 45.7m motoryacht O’Khalila, who was previously a joint listing with Merle Wood. The 2007 Palmer Johnson is asking $19 million.

Camper & Nicholsons confirmed that it will handle the sale of the 32.5m motoryacht Mileanna K. Built in 1975 by Toughs Shipyard, and refit in 2004, she is asking $1.35 million.

Ocean Independence has been appointed the central agent for the sale of motoryacht Vicky. The 59.4m Baglietto, built in 2009, is asking €35 million.

Price Reductions

Once again, price reductions saw the most activity this week, totalling a significant thirteen, five more than last week.

Fraser Yachts has reduced three four of its motoryachts this week. Fraser Yachts announced the reduced price of the 34.14m Ace Of Diamonds. The 1990 Hakvoort has been lowered by $500,000 to a new price of $4.75 million. The 26.21m 2001 Tarrab build, Praise The Lord, has been reduced by €295,000, with the broker asking prospective buyers to offer in the region of €700,000. The largest price reduction that took place this week that was not the result of a currency change was Fraser Yachts’ $4 million reduction of Loretta Anne IV, a 40m 2009 Allow, who is now asking $17.9 million.

International Yacht Collection reduced two of its motoryachts this week. The 26.2m 2005 Azimut, Black Pearl, has been reduced by $300,000 to $849,000, while the 36m Shalimar, a 1994 Azimut, has been reduced by $400,000 to $5.199 million.

RJC Yacht Sales was the second brokerage house of three to reduce two of its motoryachts this week. It announced a $200,000 reduction on the 26.52m 1996 (refit in 2011) Broward, Lukosaurus, now asking $1.695 million, as well as the $1 million reduction of the 38.7m Magic. The 2004 Northern Marine build is now asking $12.995 million.

Elsewhere, joint central agency YPI and North Star Yachts announced the €1 million reduction of the 31m motoryacht Mirage. The 2010 Cantieri Di Baia is now asking €6.9 million.

Moran Yacht & Ship lowered the price of the 30.4m motoryacht Sunseeker Predator by $300,000. The 2003 Sunseeker, whose last reduction was exactly twelve months ago, is now asking $3.199 million.

Camper & Nicholsons reduced the 36.58m Beverley, by €90,000. Built in 2008, the motoryacht is now asking €8.95 million.

Bradford Marine Yacht Sales also announced a reduction this week, that of the 24.38m Yianoula. The 1981 motoryacht has been reduced by $100,000 to a new price of $849,000.

Y.CO was the third brokerage house to reduce two of its motoryachts this week. The 49.8m Pestifer I has been lowered by $2 million. The 1998 CRN, refit in 2004, is now asking $10 million. Also reduced, as part of a currency change, was the 45m McMullen & Wing Big Fish. Her price has changed from euros to dollars, and the result is a significant reduction of nearly $5 million, with a new asking price of $29 million.

Price Increases

This week one price increase took place, as the result of the week’s second currency change. Fraser Yachts announced that the 55.4m motoryacht Turquoise will no longer be listed in euros, but in dollars. The 2011 Proteskan-Turquoise is now listed at $35.5 million, which has resulted in a price increase of approximately $1.26 million.
