Second in Oyster 100 series completes sea trials

'Penelope' follows the first Oyster 100 series yacht launched last year in September.…

The second Oyster superyacht in the 100 series, 100-02 Penelope, has successfully completed her sailing trials ahead of handover to her owners in November.

Behind Penelope's design and build is the British-Turkish trio comprising Dubois Naval Architects, Oyster Group and RMK Marine.

The launch of Penelope comes about a year after her sistership and first yacht in the 30m range the Oyster 100, Sarafin was launched.

Ed Dubois' said of this first yacht that:
"It is wonderful how Oyster has managed to combine their reputation for building strong, seaworthy craft with the quality and finish that is now expected in the best sailing superyachts.

"As designers, we are full of admiration for the builders of our craft and at the same time very particular about who we work with."

Penelope offers three staterooms aft and two crew cabins forward. A raised saloon offers a panoramic view and leads forward and down to a more intimate lounge and separate dining area.

Forward of the main living area is the crew mess, galley and two crew cabins. A six-cabin variant is also available, offering a fourth double guest cabin forward, in addition to the two crew cabins.

Penelope’s owner unfortunately has said "he has had to go back to work since ordering the yacht" and she is for sale at €10m through Oyster brokers in Palma.

Penelope will be available for viewings in Palma from December and is 'ready to go' for a new owner.

Oyster's series 100 superyachts are built to Lloyds +100A1 G6 MCH and MCA LY2 classification.
