The shaft generator can also operate as a motor, driving the propeller, either in booster mode or without running the main engine. The intelligent control system is a user-friendly operation with the following modes: Transit; PTO Parallel; Diesel Electric; Booster; and Shore Connection.
Rolls-Royce HSG is a bi-directional power electric system for single or dual propeller arrangements, combining the advantages of hybrid and diesel-electric operation. Especially for superyachts, this system combines comfort with fuel-economy, extending the bunker range and reducing CO2 and NOx emissions. The system is suitable for battery-powered sailing.
