Perini Navi launches Enterprise

The Perini Navi Group, has launched a 50m ketch, Enterprise (C.2173), the second vessel in their 50m aluminium hulled series. Enterprise is scheduled for delivery in May and will be the 52nd vessel in the Perini Navi sailing yacht fleet.

The sailing yacht is designed by Perini Navi naval architects in collaboration with Ron Holland. She has an aluminium hull with sleek and ‘aggressive’ lines to maximize sailing performance. The ketch sail plan, designed and built by the Perini Navi Group’s mast department, totals over 1,400 square meters and is handled through 11 reel captive winches. The main and mizzen masts measure 56.7m and 43m respectively, and are in aluminium while the furling boom and spreaders are in carbon fibre. The hull has an opening transom that becomes an ample beach platform.

The 6m main tender is housed under the fore deck in a flush tender well that also houses a catamaran that can be mounted for day sailing. The superstructure has been completely redesigned with two large skylights.

Interior design company Hong Kong’s Edge Design Institute, have emphasised flexibility in the use and division of the yacht’s various spaces.
