The hull of 70m ketch C.2227 has arrived at Picchiotti's La Spezia facility to begin the next phase of her construction. The vessel, which will be the second largest sailing yacht in the Perini Navi fleet upon completion, is due to be launched in 2015. …
Upon her completion the 70m ketch will be the second largest sailing yacht in the Perini Navi fleet, following 88m Maltese Falcon. Her naval architecture is by Philippe Briand and her exterior design has been undertaken by Perini’s in-house team, whilst PH Design will be responsible for fitting out her interior.
The vessel, hull C.2227, will be constructed completely of aluminium, giving a displacement of 874 tons. The yacht’s gross tonnage is 820GT. Her arrival at the yard punctuates a prolific period for the Italian sailing giant, during which its Picchiotti division has launched its flagship motoryacht, 73m Grace E.
How the vessel will look when she is completed.
