Oyster Marine launches Oyster 825 range

Oyster Marine has launched the Oyster 825, a new 25.5m range of luxury sailing yacht. The range is the successor to the 82 series of 24.9m yachts.
 
Initial designs are by Rob Humphreys of Humphreys Yacht Design, who created the ‘clean and easily driven’ hull lines, whilst the Oyster Design team provided styling and engineering.
 
The yacht has 15 per cent more internal volume than the 82, meaning more space in the en-suite owner and guest accommodation in the three aft double cabins. The increased space will also enable crew to run the yacht with minimal disturbance to  the owner and guests. The general arrangement exhibits a spacious, full-width salon and side-sliding glass companionway.

The cockpit is designed to separate guests from sail handling. Expansive areas of flush deck, both forward and aft, provide places for sunbathing and entertaining.

The Oyster 825 is ‘designed for the owner who seeks adventure and performance but with the peace of mind of safety and every comfort to hand’.

Oyster provides options to install a carbon rig and customise the yacht from its Southampton shipyard.

Production is scheduled for Spring 2012 with delivery in Summer 2013.  A spokesperson for Oyster said that, "there has been a strong interest in the new 825 model with sales expected in the near future."
