NSSLGlobal adds high-speed C-Band to VSAT offering

NSSLGlobal has announced the addition of high-speed C-Band services to its Cruise IP portfolio, offering what the company claims will be faster connectivity throughout its global network. The addition of the C-Band service will, crucially the company says, ensure that NSSL customers receive uninterrupted connectivity, even in areas affected by ‘rain fade’. 

The new C-Band network will provide users with access to three global satellites – NSS9, Intelsat 902 and SES 4 – and will be offered alongside NSSLGlobal’s existing KU Band Cruise IP service. This includes NSSLGlobal’s Service Assurance package, which will now feature seamless failover between C- and Ku-Band services alongside an L-Band service, to provide customers with high-speeds, an ample coverage footprint for those vessels that circumnavigate the globe and extra peace of mind through two levels of redundancy.
