MTU announces new automation system and newly-designed bridge components
Engine manufacturer MTU has developed a new automation system for the monitoring and remote control of propulsion systems, as well as introducing a new line of Pininfarina-designed bridge components.…
The Blue Vision New Generation automation system will be presented at the Salone Nautico Internazionale yacht show in Genoa next week, on 6 – 14 October 2012. The system is available in a simplified, non-classifiable version named Blue Vision Basic New Generation, as well as an expanded and classifiable version, the Blue Vision Advanced New Generation.
The automation system is currently undergoing sea trials on board a 34m Sanlonrezo build.
The engine manufacturer has also introduced its yacht control stand, with a selection of new bridge components. Designer Pininfarina is behind the look of the stand’s control levers, displays, operating consoles and instruments. The equipment can be integrated into any yacht control stand, and is also to be made compatible with the Blue Vision New Generation automation system. MTU has declared that these newly-designed components are the response to the exclusive requirements of yacht owners.
