Monte Fino 85 ecHo completes sea trials
The first vessel in the Monte Fino 85 ecHo range of 25.9m yachts has completed sea trials. She will now sail to Europe where she will be exhibited at Boot Dusseldorf in January 2013.…
Built in composite with a length of 25.9m, the ecHo is designed by Humphreys Yacht Design, a contribution alluded to by the 'H' in the vessel's name. The builder has identified her as 'a modern eco-friendly motoryacht with the capability of an explorer yacht for long-range cruising.'
Designed to be efficient at displacement and semi-displacement regimes, the ecHo series is optimised to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Powered by the latest generation of twin 533kW Cummins engines, the ecHo's sea trials indicated top speeds of 16.5 knots with a cruising speed of 12 knots, and a calculated range of nearly 4,000 nautical miles at 8.6 knots. These are all better than the yard had originally estimated. The first ecHo also comes with Twin Disc transmission and QuickShift function.
She is maneouvred and docked with Twin Disc EJS (Express Joystick System). The interior was designed by Giorgia Drudi, a former Ferretti Yachts interior designer, in a contemporary Italian style, accommodating eight guests in a full-beam master suite, a VIP cabin, a third double cabin and one twin cabin. The crew quarters for four members are located aft.
