Magnus Marine has developed two technologies for off shore power, including a greener solution for power superyachts.

Developing their catalogue of power systems that, historically, were based for delivering on shore power, CleanNet Combi and the Grid Connect Inverter help to eradicate disruption of sensitive power systems that are vulnerable to power surges on board.

Developing their CleanNet converter further, the CleanNet Combi can be used both in and outside harbour. It is combined with shore power converter and has two independent outputs used to power the CleanNet and Main Ships Bus for when in and outside of harbour. The change of input supplies, shore to generator and vice versa, is habitual and faultlessly prevents disturbances. The end result in a continuous flow of energy that does disrupt home entertainment or light systems.

As shaft generator can eliminate the need for independently driven generators and are more eco-friendly, Magnus’ Grid Connect Inverter will continue to utilise this green technology and develop it further. The Magnus Grid Connect Inverter can take the variable voltage and frequencies supplied from the shaft generator and deliver a stable supply platform to the ships AC bus. The Grid Connect Inverter can reliably combine and operate on a common AC bus with generators and other converters for optimum and efficient power.
