Launched at the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show via a demonstration onboard the new 28m Sunseeker, itself unveiled at the show, the 'innovative' control system offers seamless integration with all electrical installations onboard a yacht.
With a myriad of functions simply activated, System Orca, which has been purpose built for marine usage, essentially facilitates the control for all electrionic devices onboard from a central point. This includes anything from electric doors, to air conditioning, blinds, communications equipment and satellite TV systems.
It is equipped with integrated modules for all leading audio visual equipment, lighting and navigation, which, via System Orca, can be controlled from iPads, iPhones or other touch screens. There are also 'easy to use' customised applications for the iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Android, HTC and Blackberry.

Director of SES, Paul Rees commented: “Our aim was to design software and hardware solutions that would make life easier onboard any vessel and we are delighted with the results of System Orca.
“Users can control any electrical equipment with a few simple commands from their mobile phone or any other compatible device. SES will not only assist the user and explain fully how the system works, but also offer a full after sales package to answer any queries the user may have.”
System Orca uses built in WiFi capability to enable communication with the user's touch screen. When a user opens up a browser page on their phone or tablet device, it correlates with the processor and the user is free to manage any of the electrical systems.
