Iguana Yachts unveils new amphibious rib

The new tender is more of a solid and rugged option with a significantly reduced price point…

Since entering the market in 2008, Iguana Yachts has truly offered a new dimension to the tender market. The manufacturer has created a product that removes the inconvenient elements of entering the water, as well as improving tender maintenance with its intuitive technology, it’s not surprising that the French builder has been inundated with orders in the past decade.

Following the success of its existing offering, the decision has been made to increase the Iguana range with the introduction of a more solid and rugged tender at a reduced price point. Named the Iguana X, the new range benefits from a Rigid Inflatable Hull (RIB), which significantly reduces construction costs, making the boat available to the winder market. At this point, Iguana Yachts has released details of the first boat in the range called the X 100 RIB, however, this line is likely to expand in the near future.

“With a decade of development and technology behind the Iguana Yachts brand, it was a natural evolution that lead us to build the X 100 RIB, an easy to maintain, understandable and economical boat with the added value of an unlimited land drive,” says CEO Antoine Brugidou. “We have a number of clients who have expressed a need for a strong and functional craft that allows them to access their waterfront home regardless of infrastructure. A utility boat that can be used for water sports, fishing, exploring or simply creating lasting memories on the water.”

With the capacity to carry up to 12 passengers on board and a top speed of 55 knots, the new X 100 has been designed with versatility and practicality in mind with an array of layout options and different configuration packages to cater for different requirements. Currently there are four specified options for the new boat, but there are further bespoke options available to clients.

Further to the incredible tracks – that are fitted across the entire Iguana range – the shipyard prides itself on an incredible 24/7 support system, offering peace of mind and support if something were to go wrong. Furthermore, the shipyard based in Caen, Northern France stocks spare parts of all the tenders that can be shipped around the globe at a moment’s notice.

Prices for the new X 100 RIB start at €220,000 with a requested deposit of €5,000 to secure a space in the production schedule.
