Global Ocean Security Technologies (GOST) has launched its latest security product, the EZ Tracker 2.0.

The EZ Tracker 2.0 provides global tracking and monitoring of both recreational and commercial vessels, and has an input for a contact sensor or panic button.

Designed for continuous use with no external power source, it features a long-life rechargeable battery, which allows the unit to operate up to 180 days between charges. The battery will also report every six hours. Additionally, an ‘on’ and ‘off’ switch helps to preserve the battery life when the terminal is not in use.

The EZ Tracker 2.0 has one external interface connector which is used to connect a sensor or a panic button, and to charge the unit.

The EZ Tracker 2.0 measures 245mm x 178mm x 51mm

When the sensor or panic is activated the unit generates an ‘in alarm’ message with the vessel name, latitude, longitude, speed and heading, and will continue to do so for whatever interval is selected on the website. After four hours the unit will revert back to standard tracking messages at the standard interval.

The EZ Tracker 2.0, which incorporates fixed mounting points and magnetic feet, can be connected to a hardwired sensor to monitor conditions remotely.

The Superyacht Security Summit will be held on 28 March, and will be held back to back with The Superyacht Fiscal Summit on 29 March. To register your interest for these events please click here.
