Access Controller FB-10 V4.0 software update available
Livewire Connections has launched the fourth software update for its Access Controller FB-10 monitoring and control system. The V4.0 software update includes Quality of Service and Auto-Failover features.…
The Access Controller FB-10 allows the monitoring and control of up to 10 different communications systems via a Graphical User Interface (GUI), which can be viewed on any number of PCs within the vessel’s network.
New features of the V4.0 software upgrade include Quality of Service (QoS) which prioritises the user’s bandwidth and Auto-Failover which switches to FleetBroadband or an equivalent connection when the VSAT connection drops out, whilst returning to VSAT automatically when bandwidth returns.
Bandwidth monitoring is also available, with real time graphs and data usage published, whilst MAC address reservation has been improved so that current DHCP leases are displayed.
“We are a proactive company, driven by our own technical capabilities and customer demand,” commented David Walker, sales director of Livewire Connections. “This latest upgrade is all part of the process Livewire Connections goes through to help keep our customers at the forefront with regards to managing their off-vessel connections.”
The software upgrade is being rolled out and will be available for existing customers to download from the Livewire Connections website by the end of March 2012.
