Dubai ruler takes delivery of 40m Sanlorenzo
The 40m aluminum superyacht arrived to Dubai via cargo transport along the Suez Canal.…
The ‘stunning’ 40 Alloy model – a 40m aluminum superyacht with planing hull – was handed over to the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, and Dubai Ruler at the Dubai International Boat Show, which concluded on March 9.
The yacht had been on display for the five-day show docked at Sanlorenzo’s stand.
The Sheikh’s superyacht took just one year to come to fruition at the Sanlorenzo’s shipyards, Italy. It was then shipped to the Middle East via special cargo transport from Genoa, before passing through the Suez Canal where it entered the Red Sea. The yacht finally arrived in Dubai after about 15 days transit.
The Arab owner’s 40 Alloy was designed with ‘modern and elegant’ interiors featuring beautiful woods including olive ash for the furniture and the burned oak for the floors.
Dining tables are located on the upper deck where, owing to an adjustable structure, they can host up to 12 guests.
On the lower deck, two double and two triple cabins can accommodate up to ten guests. It has room for crew of up to six members plus captain.
Two MTU 2775 HP engines, enable a maximum speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of approximately 25 knots.
