Diamond Sofa

Metal is not a material you would usually associate with a sofa, but when it comes to designing furniture, Italian duo Andrea Fino and Samanta Snidaro from Sand & Birch rarely play by the rules. Demonstrating the flexibility of metal as a material not just for structural uses, but for interiors as well, their iconic Diamond Sofa is an aluminium limited edition luxury sculpture for your living room.

Constructed from a single strip of mirrored aluminium, this sofa ending with a lamp has a central stripe embellished with 160 Swarovsky crystals. The Diamond Sofa is one of Sand & Birch’s first creations and it still remains one of its most unusual and eye-catching. Clearly not designed to be a sofa for comfortable lounging, it is mainly an expression of pure luxury, which Snidaro and Fino say they designed to be a jewel for the home. With their designs, Snidaro and Fino have always attempted to create pieces that challenge their original purposes and instead acquire new meanings. For the Diamond Sofa, the curving aluminium, mirrored surfaces and reflective crystals transform it into something to be admired for its beauty rather than used as a sofa.

A limited edition piece, only 100 Diamond Sofas will be made.
