Costruzioni Navali Tigullio launches 38m classic schooner, 'Andromeda'…

Costruzioni Navali Tigullio (C.N.T) has launched 38m classic schooner, Andromeda, at its Castagnola shipyard in Lavagna, Italy.

The classic, elegant schooner was built according to a brief for a spacious and comfortable sailing yacht with excellent sailing performance. Her fast hull, huge sail plan and twin rudders helped achieve this goal.

She combines a classical hull line with contemporary superstructure. She was project managed by Castagnola Shipyard who worked with a team of outside specialists; Silverio Della Rosa for the naval architecture and sail plan, Studio Faggioni for the structural plan, Nauta Yachts for the interior design and Studio Tecnico Averame, who supervised the entire project.

The hull is wooden composite with epoxy fairing and finish. The two Sparcraft masts are considerably tall at around 40m per mast, in accordance with the wide sailing plan. All equipment, including furling system for sails, has been selected from the ‘best providers in the market’.

The interiors are wide, ‘sleek’ and functional accommodating ten guests in five cabins (full-beam master, two VIPs and two twins) in the forward section of the lower deck and up to eight crew in crew quarters aft.

Andromeda
also features spacious main saloons with seating and dining areas opening out to aft cockpits.

She has a large fold-out swimming platform for easy access to tenders. Her twin MAN 2866 LX40 engines give a maximum speed of 12 knots.
