Maritime Concept and Construction (MCC) report that they have taken on an in-house chief designer and naval architect, Ms Kasia Milewska. MCC are confident that this new addition to their team will allow the yacht builder to independently increase their range and variety of yachts. Albrecht Buchner of MCC commented  “with an in house designer we can increase what we offer clients beyond the semi custom Marco Polo range”. Milewska's job will be to start developing those new concepts and designs, the first of which will be shown at the Antibes Yacht Show in April.

Milewska graduated from the Technical University of Gdansk, with a Masters Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. She has worked as project manager, survey and design for Ted Hood’s fibreglass yachts at Portsmouth Marine, followed by a position as naval architect at Southern Wind shipyards in South Africa before spending four years at The Ron Holland design studio as both a naval architect and designer on a wide variety of sail & power projects. One of her core projects was the award winning Marco Polo transocean explorer built by MCC. The MCC say that the second yacht in this series is currently well under way at their Hong Kong yard.
