Bilgin Yachts launches first 49m Bilgin Classic 160

In March SuperyachtNews.com reported that Turkish shipyard Bilgin Yachts was constructing two 49m superyachts from its Bilgin Classic 160 series, and the shipyard has now announced that the first of the two has been launched.

Referred to by the shipyard as ‘The Gentleman Classic 160’, the 49m motoryacht comprises classic lines which, according to the shipyard, “capture the look as well as the feel of a golden era in luxurious yachting.”

Currently located in the shipyard’s Istanbul-based shipyard, the steel-hulled superyacht with six cabins for 12 guests is powered by two MAN D2842LE 527kW engines, and has a cruising speed of 13 knots whilst able to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots.


The Bilgin Classic 160 is currently for sale through the shipyard with an asking price of €11.5 million and will make her public debut at the Cannes Boat Show in September later this year.



The second Bilgin Classic 160 is currently under construction and scheduled for a late 2013 launch.
