Bilgin Yachts confirm the sale of second 80m superyacht to a repeat Bilgin client…
Following the construction success of the first Bilgin 263, its been announced that a second 80m superyacht has been sold to a repeat Bilgin client. At 80m, the two yachts mark a milestone for the Turkish shipyard, which, upon completion of the builds, will have build the largest Turkish superyachts, by length, to date. Bilgin also has the capacity to build the yachts in parallel with each other, meaning that the two yachts will have delivery dates just one year apart.
The Bilgin 263 series has been designed and engineered by Unique Yacht Design, while the interior has, once again, been left in the capable hands of London-based studio H2 Yacht Design. As with the first hull, the 263 will be built to ABS classification and will be compliant with the Large Yacht Code (LY3).
“We are extremely happy about the appeal of the Bilgin 263 series,” says Ismail Şengün, Bilgin’s CEO. “We are also very honoured by the confidence that another of our existing clients has in us to deliver such an exceptional vessel, which undoubtedly, along with the first 80m, will bring Bilgin Yachts to another level.”
Bilgin has also claimed that the hull of the first 263 motoryacht is 75 per cent complete and the construction of the superstructure has begun. Furthermore, 50 per cent of the second 263 hull has already been completed.
In addition to the two 80m superyachts, Bilgin Yachts is also constructing two units of the 48m 156 series, both of which are available for sale. The first hull of the Bilgin 156 series will be available for delivery in June 2017.
