Bilgin Yachts has announced that construction of the second Bligin 156 speculative project has begun. According to the Turkish shipyard, the first Hull is 60 per cent complete and on track for a 2016 launch.
With exterior design and naval architecture by Özgün Yacht Design, under the brand Unique Yacht Design, who also completed the naval architecture for the recently launched 63m motoryacht Irimari, by Sunrise Yachts.
The well-balanced exterior styling has contributed to the yacht's contemporary appearance, synonymous with the interior, which has been penned by renowned London-based designer H2 Yacht Design.
The Bilgin 156 remains below the 500 gt threshold, yet can still accommodate 10 guests, across four cabins, plus the large owner's cabin, which has a balcony on the main deck. The 48m superyacht has a bright interior, as a result of the large windows and a minimalistic copper colour scheme throughout.
In a statement to the press, Bilgin Yachts announced that, unlike hull number one, the second hull of the 156 is likely to have a convertible helipad on the upper deck aft section.
The Bilgin 156 is one of three superyachts under construction at the Turkish yard and will be its 23rd project upon completion.
