Bentley Home Collection

Bentley is probably one of the most Iconic luxury car brands around. Having produced more cars in the last few years than it has in its entire 95-year history, this last year has seen it diversify slightly. In August 2013 it revealed a capsule collection of handbags and its latest endeavour is a line of its own furniture, with the launch of the Bentley Home range of chairs, sofas and tables. Ideal for the car-loving yacht owners out there who want to furnish their floating home in the same style as their car.

Joining the ranks of Pinninfarina and Ferrari, the British automotive brand’s collection of furniture designs are set to be produced by Italian furniture brand Club House Italia, which also distributes the home ranges by fashion houses Fendi and Kenzo.

Featuring a range of seating, tables, a pair of cabinets and a bed, all in neutral colours with wood finishes, certain pieces in the Bentley Home Collection incorporate the characteristic quilted diamond patterned upholstery, leather braiding and the same veneers from the interiors of its cars. According to Bentley, the wood is carefully matched to a padded structure covered in a light cashmere. For us, the Canterbury bed is the highlight of the collection with its curved headboard that can be finished in either leather or fabric and comes with complete with a duvet cover made from a fabric partially incorporating wood pulp.

The collection will be on display at Maison et Objet in Paris in January 2014.
